By booking and attending your appointment you agree to the following salon policies, procedures, terms and conditions.
Drop Off/Collection Policy
On arrival please:
- Arrive on time
- Ensure your dog is on a lead for drop off
- Let me know you have arrived by calling/texting 0450 730 424
** I WILL CALL/TEXT YOU WHEN YOUR DOG IS READY FOR COLLECTION **
- Please ensure you collect your dog within 20 minutes of being notified of completion otherwise, a standard late fee of $20 will be added to your final bill
Safety Policy
To provide the highest level of care for your dog we have a safety policy. If at anytime your dog gets nervous, anxious, scared, aggressive or even overly silly, we will slow down and help your dog to become comfortable and calm. It is very important to us that the dogs in our care are kept safe and stress free. We use sharp tools and need to prevent injuries. We will work with your dog to help them feel comfortable. This will build a great experience for successful grooming for your dogs lifetime. Your dog may not be groomed to perfection in these instances. We will charge you for the time spent working with your dog.
Last Minute Cancellation/No Show Policy
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice of any appointment changes. Less than 24 hours notice will incur a $50 late cancellation charge which will be payable prior to rebooking another appointment. No shows with no communication will be required to pay the full amount of the service prior to rebooking. Should you be running late to your appointment, please contact the salon. We may need to reschedule your appointment if you are more than 15 minutes late. Our $50 cancellation fee will also apply in these circumstances. Multiple cancellations may result in refusal of services.
Late Pick up Policy
Molly's Paws is a specialised service that works one on one with each dog. To ensure every customer receives the same high quality service, all dogs must be collected within 30 minutes of being notified of completion. If your travel time to the salon exceeds 30 minutes, please let us know and we will factor this into our communication with you. A holding fee of $10 for every 15 minutes over this collection time will be applicable.
Veterinary Care Policy
By confirming your appointment with Mollys Paws, you authorise us that if your pets health causes concern or they become ill or if the services of a veterinarian are required, to obtain treatment at your expense if you are not contactable.
Flea Policy
As Molly's Paws is located on a residential property there is a strict flea policy in place. If you think that your pet has fleas, or you suspect them, or if you know that you have them, DO NOT bring your pet to the salon. You must treat them at home and only then after a period of a few days can your grooming request take place. You can call for a consultation regarding this problem.
If your pet is found to have fleas when they come to the grooming salon, there will be an automatic charge of $25 added to your bill. When your pet comes with fleas we have to bath it in flea shampoo along with every other animal that comes in that day, plus our personal pets (one of which is highly allergic to flea bites). We then have to 'deep clean' and spray the salon to kill any fleas that have escaped, and prevent their eggs developing and being carried into the residence and to maintain salon hygiene. There is ALWAYS an extra charge for fleas.
Matting Policy - Humanity Over Vanity
Matted coats are painful and detrimental, we love pampering your dogs and we want them to enjoy their grooming session. De-matting can be a stressful experience for the dogs and can be cruel to brush out. We will asses the coat on arrival and you will be notified if the coat needs to be clipped short to safely remove matting.
Clients with dogs who have severe matting will have the risks of matting and de-matting explained to them and will be required to read and sign a Matt Release Form prior to any works being carried out.
De-matting can cause skin irritations, abrasions, redness, itchiness, ear hematoma's, cuts and self-inflicted irritations.
In cases where light de-matting can be safely carried out there will be an additional de-matting fee on top of the cost of your groom to compensate the extra time spent on these areas of between $10-15.
Senior Dog Policy
At Molly's Paws we love seeing your darling oldies and giving them some comfort and attention. Grooming older dogs does come with risks and we will give them all the care, love and attention they deserve in their groom. Where we feel the dog is uncomfortable or stressed we will groom them to the best of our ability and the groom may not be perfect. Getting them to stand for longer periods is sometimes impossible and uncomfortable for them. We want to let you know that if at any time we feel they should go home, we will call and let you know, prompt pick up is appreciated. Please ensure you are able to pick up your dog immediately after the groom as a different environment can be overwhelming for oldies and they usually just want to go home. If we are seriously concerned for the dogs life, we will get your senior to the nearest vet and we will call you immediately.
Satisfaction Policy
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with the treatment received, please advise within two business days so we can do our best to rectify it. Customer satisfaction is important to us. We take great pride in our service and want customers to as well.
Payment Policy
We accept cash and all major credit cards. Payment is due on completion of the groom when collecting your dog. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
